Details of the PeriRosa BHRT Clinic:
What is the focus of the 30-Minute HRT Consultation?
This visit is dedicated strictly to evaluating perimenopause/menopause symptoms and managing bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (HRT). It is not a comprehensive functional medicine visit and does not address weight loss, chronic gut issues, autoimmunity, or complex medical conditions.
If you require deep root-cause functional medicine, you must establish care through our separate Comprehensive Functional Intake.
How does payment and booking work?
All consultation fees are due in full at the time of booking to reserve your spot.
-
Initial HRT Visit (30 mins): $300
-
Follow-Up Visits (20-mins): $150
-
You have the option to transition to extended functional care later
What is the typical care path and follow-up schedule?
To ensure your treatment is safe and effective, prescriptions and refills are tied directly to required follow-up visits and regular monitoring.
-
Initial Consultation: Symptom evaluation, lab order
-
2-4 Weeks Follow-Up: Lab review, and initial prescription plan
-
1-2 Month Follow-Up: Check initial response, side effects, and early progress.
-
Every 3 Months: Continued monitoring until your ideal dose is stabilized.
-
Twice a Year (Maintenance): Routine check-ins once you are on a stable, optimal regimen, screening, order and review yearly labs.
Can I get medication refills without a follow-up visit?
No. Prescriptions and refills are never issued without the required follow-up appointment and updated lab work. This ensures your hormone levels remain balanced and clinically safe.
How does communication work, and do you have a phone receptionist?
We operate strictly as a direct digital practice and do not maintain a front-desk phone line. All administrative support, scheduling, and document sharing take place exclusively through our online patient portal.
Adherence to our portal policy is required to maintain active care with our clinic.
Can I ask clinical questions or request dose tweaks in portal messages?
No. Patient portal messaging is strictly for administrative tasks (e.g., booking issues, billing, or submitting lab PDFs). Providers do not deliver medical advice, troubleshoot side effects, or adjust dosages over portal messages or email. Short 15- or 30-minute follow-up visits are readily available to book online whenever you have clinical questions between scheduled check-ins.
How do labs work, and are they covered by insurance?
Yes! We offer flexible lab options depending on your insurance coverage and preference:
-
PPO Insurance via Quest Diagnostics: We submit your requisition directly to Quest Diagnostics, who will bill your PPO insurance company. (Any copays or deductibles are determined by your carrier and billed by Quest).
-
$100 Flat-Rate Cash Option: For high-deductible plans, HMOs, or uninsured patients, you can opt for our $100 flat cash rate to avoid surprise bills.
Do you bill health insurance for HRT or visits?
No. We are an out-of-network practice and do not bill health insurance. Furthermore, due to ongoing commercial pharmacy shortages and the need for customized dosing, we utilize compounded hormones only.
Medications are paid directly to the compounding pharmacy.
Do I need to live in Los Angeles or come to an office?
No in-person visits are required. Our care is delivered via telehealth, and you can be located anywhere in California. In-person visits are available by option for patients in the Greater Los Angeles area through establishing as a functional health patient.
What technical requirements are expected?
Because this is a streamlined telehealth program, basic tech literacy is required. You must be comfortable filling out digital intake forms, uploading PDF lab results, accessing video links, and managing online payments.
Do you offer or require a monthly membership?
No. We currently operate on a transparent pay-per-visit model. You only pay for your scheduled consultations and required lab panels.
What is your policy on patient communication and care standards?
We believe that high-quality medical care is built on mutual respect, empathy, and clear boundaries. Our clinical team works hard to support you with gentle, compassionate care. In return, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for aggressive, demanding, or disrespectful behavior toward our staff or providers. Maintaining a respectful partnership ensures the best possible health outcomes for you.
